What was the inspiration behind the dress?
Karisa Perrone, the designer, loves to use the bride as her inspiration. “When designing this style, I had a simplistic bride in mind who didn’t know she wanted a touch of drama. In trying to achieve this, I knew she would want a classic shape with clean lines in a modern fabric, like Mikado. When she looks at herself from the front, the dress is so streamlined and clean. When she begins to turn around, she’s surprised with the daring sheer side and beautifully dramatic train.”
What are the favorite elements about the dress?
“I love how this style is so modern and romantic. It takes a classic A-line ballgown shape and updates it with sheer sides and that dramatic train! The lace has a stunning textural element to it that makes it feel almost hand drawn.”
What does the designer keep in mind when designing a dress for bridal collections?
She always thinks about the bride. She wants to make sure that our dresses make them feel like the best versions of themselves.
