5 Ways to Holiday (At Home)

Our favorite ways to celebrate the season from the comfort of home, whether you’re welcoming family or having dinner for two.

CURTAIN'S UP!

Find online tickets to your favorite live performance, get dressed up, and enjoy the show together! (You can always add sips and snacks.)

FESTIVE FLORALS

Go all out on the flowers. Bring in bright blooms, holly berries, vines, and more to get your home in the mood to celebrate. It’s amazing what fresh flowers can do for a room.

HOST A COCKTAIL HOUR

Take the time to send out personalized evites, set up a cocktail area, dress like you mean it, and toast your besties on Zoom.

MIX IT UP

Set up a full bar for cocktails and mocktails, complete with garnishes and festive glasses. What to wear? Sequins solve everything. Hint: You might even create a signature drink. Recipes below!

Our New Favorite Cocktail (and Mocktail):

Adrianna Papell Hot Mulled Wine

Ingredients:

1 large oranges

¼ cups red wine

¼ cups/10 ounces brandy

½ cup dark brown sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

6 whole cloves

Prep:

Remove the peel in strips from 1 orange then juice the orange. Slice the other orange reserve for garnish.

Combine orange peel, juice and the rest of the ingredients. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Bring mixture to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat to low. Simmer gently until flavors meld, about 30 minutes. Strain the mixture, discarding the solids. Garnish each with a reserved orange round.

EMBRACE THE COMFORT

  1. This is one holiday where you’re not obligated to do anything except refresh, recharge and be with family. Getting dressed up for dinner or other at-home events should definitely be a part of the season, but it’s also fun to get lounge-y and enjoy the fact that you don’t have to go anywhere at all to celebrate.
