Everything You Need When Planning A Backyard Wedding
Backyard weddings may have become more popular in 2020, but they have always been a wonderful and intimate way to say your "I do's." You get the benefit of nature adding to your decor, a highly personal element, and a relaxed, easygoing tone. Here, what you need to know to create the backyard wedding of your dreams.
Since your wedding will be in the backyard, make sure that you choose the area with the most beautiful backdrop for photographs. Ideally, your alter would also be in that area. And of course, take full advantage of all the natural elements that surround you.
An outdoor wedding does call for a few additional considerations. Make sure you leave ample time to plan the restroom layout. (These days, there are plenty of "luxury" options that look pretty and provide comfort for your guests.) And remember to keep plenty of face masks, hand sanitizer and other supplies ready for your guests, so that they'll feel extra comfortable attending in person.
Set up a full bar station outdoors, stocked with whatever you and your partner choose, whether it's exclusively champagne or a mix of wine, beer and spirits.
Since your wedding will be outdoors, it's always a good idea to prep some fun activities for your guests to enjoy if they're not into dancing or mingling. Lawn games, from crochet to oversized Jenga sets, are often very popular.
Illuminating string lights: one of the prettiest and cost-effective ways to decorate your backyard for your wedding. They are particularly beautifully when turned on right at sunset.
